hands tell you everything
ok so i don’t really do this but here i am i guess.
my friend keisha said i should write something somewhere because i’m always saying stuff and she’s like you need to put that somewhere. and i’m like put it WHERE. but she sent me this link so.
the thing i keep thinking about is hands. like i do nails right, i’ve been doing nails for eleven years now, and i can tell you everything about a person from their hands before they even sit down. not like palm reading or whatever. i mean like. this woman came in tuesday and her cuticles were torn up, like she’d been picking at them, and she wanted something real plain, just clear coat, and she was talking normal but i already knew. you know? i already knew something was off. and sure enough twenty minutes in she’s telling me her husband moved out.
i’m not saying i’m psychic i’m saying people think they’re hiding stuff and they’re not. your hands tell on you. if you’re stressed your nails show it. if you stopped taking care of yourself your hands know before you do.
anyway idk if that’s the kind of thing you write here. keisha said just say what’s on your mind so that’s what’s on my mind. hands tell you everything and nobody’s looking.
i'm a massage therapist and this is so real. people hold their entire life in their shoulders and hands. i had a client last week whose fingers were clenched the entire session. she kept saying she was fine. her hands said otherwise.
SEE. this is what i mean. like bodies don't lie. your mouth can say whatever it wants but your hands are out there just... telling on you. i'm glad someone else sees it too honestly i thought maybe i was just being weird about it.
